Right now I'm editing the English translation so that little errors are fixed. (Tense and grammar, and then some story/name issues that I found. Gee, I'm so picky!) Then I'm turning it into a game script. (Kinda like an interactive novel? Just without much interaction.) After I add music and sound effects, I'm going to need to add character art so we can see who's talking. Right now I'm desperately looking for .hack fans--especially artists, who might want to work on this project.
Might you be interested? Also, as of next month, I should be able to give the artist who works with me a small amount of money for their help.
Anyway, thanks for responding! Can't wait to hear back.
Is there any estimated picture on how many you need?
and any guarantee that this project won't be discarded mid-way by you? since i have participated in this kind of project before... only to be cancelled by the leader OTL wasting my art /shot
lastly program you intend to use and your programming level?
sorry for many question OTL, i've many bad experience in this kinda of project anyway I'm SUPER interested... (since i'm a big .hack fans) though i kinda worried about the copyright issue... but let's ignore that now
Hm, let's see...for an estimate of pictures needed... There are 5 characters, and I'll probably want a couple poses for each. Then we can just put different expressions on the image. Also, there are a few backgrounds that will need to be done, but if you can't do them, I can figure out something else. Though I have faith in your ability to draw something like Mac Anu. (I think there are only a few areas, right? And I won't more than one or two shots of each.) And then I'd like the chapter images and the pictures from the book, which I'm calling "event images." So, all in all about 15-25 pictures, I estimate. Though most will be edits of one picture. The program will be run in a 800x600 window. I am using Ren'Py and I'm fairly experienced with programming it. I'm going to officially announce the project soon, so people will expect it to get done. I want to hold myself to their expectations. Also, I already have the script about halfway done.
Questions are good, don't apologize! I hope if you join the project that it will be a good experience. Anyway, I'll be able to send you money next month, if you'd like that exchange for the project. We can discuss price later. Since we won't be selling the finished project, I'm sure it'll be fine if I put a disclaimer. Anyway, feel free to reply to me at email@example.com It might take me a while to respond, since I'm visiting family and they only have dialup.
Count me in <3 as for money, of course it'll be helpful if i get paid, but seeing i'm interested in the project too i'll leave how much you paid me up to you ~ oh and i prefer DeviantArt (maybe note?) rather than e-mail... because i RARELY check my e-mail OTL ...
